Stretch marks can be very hard to deal with once your skin is scarred with it. So I’d rather suggest prevention; not everyone can afford a laser treatment.

To prevent stretch marks during pregnancy, or if you’d been pregnant before and had stretch marks, you can reduce their appearance as well as prevent new ones;

Drink plenty of water. It keeps your skin well hydrated and moisturised.

During first trimester, gently massage your belly with oil (olive oil or coconut oil) at least 3 times a week.

As your belly gets bigger, continue massaging it with oil, especially when it itches.

Drink fruit juice always to help your body produce enough collagen, especially where stretches might occur.

Whenever your belly itches, don’t scratch; just rub.
